Brighton-based photographer Lynn Weddle is working with a group of young people from All Sorts – a youth group of gay, lesbian, and transgender young people. Lynn is supported by Jack Bull (disabled emerging artist) and Adam Simmons (disabled athlete) in creating a photographic exhibition which will question the way people perceive themselves. The exhibition will also be influenced by a group of young people in Ecuador who will also use photography as a way to communicate their understanding of difference.

Anya Ustaszewski is a musician based in Brighton. She is working with London-based emerging visual artist Carlo Keshishian and Alexandra Adams, a disabled athlete based in Maidstone. They have developed a project based on words associated with the southeast. Using music, animation and painting they are responding to these words and asking young people from an organisation in the Brighton called Mosaic and young people in Uganda to add to these responses.
All of the work aims to provoke conversations between the artists and athletes, within the community and between young people in the UK and abroad. An exhibition of all the work will take place in the spring.
