Create Compete Collaborate, Creative Junction and Chalfonts Community College (Bucks) were delighted to hold the official Launch of the new online game ‘Wheels of Glory’, developed through the Gaming! project at Pinewood Studios. Read about it here (scroll down to find article).

 

Gaming! is a project engaging young people in the production of a new interactive game celebrating the inspirational story of Stoke Mandeville and the Paralympics.

Working alongside games’ designer Tom Scutt (who was involved in such exciting projects as Tomb Raider!), Gaming! has been developed and delivered by students at Chalfonts Community College in Bucks, where it was incorporated into the Creative and Media Learning Diploma (examined by AQA-City & Guilds).   

The winning game - ‘Wheels of Glory’ - was chosen from a short-list of three games designed by the students and was launched at Pinewood film studios on the 13 July 2010. ‘Wheels of Glory’ can now be played on-line with young people around the region and in other countries in the build-up to 2012. Gaming! is delivered through CCC as part of the Accentuate programme.
